This new feature allows you to turn your online ordering pages into a complete website. Websites have the following features:
- Use your own domain name (eg: https://www.mysite.com).
- Add any number of pages, including images and uploaded documents.
- Automatically integrates online ordering, with "Menu", "Store Locator" and "Store Info" pages, and a shopping cart and signup/login links on all pages.
- Quickly add Dimmi’s reservations widget.
The load times have been improved, relevant data has been loaded quicker initially, menu items show quicker and checkout waiting times are far quicker.
There have been improvements to the mobile user experience (UX). The User Interface (UI) has been given a touch-up allowing for better branding for your store as well as a more intuitive design so users can navigate the site more quickly and easily.
Google maps / Multi Location
The Locations page has had a full rework to better handle accounts with multiple stores. The map at the top will show where the user is if they have GeoLocation turned on. You can now select a store in the map and select your Fulfillment type. Underneath the map, each Store's details are listed, including opening time for each Fulfillment type.
Home screen app icon for mobile
Where supported, you are now able to add a App ‘shortcut’ to your homescreen. Each account can create their own App Icon. On completion of an order (the Confirmation page) there is a prompt to save a shortcut if you have a compatible device/OS.
Dynamic page content
We have some basic content types supported in the template, and plan to release more in the future. Currently there are the building blocks for many pages (Home, Photo Gallery, About Us, Contact Us, Reservations etc) - making use of well structured content sections, parallax image sections and widgets.
OrderMate Online now pulls tables from the POS, and allows you to choose:
- Which tables customers should be able to order from
- Whether tables should be split into rooms, or all shown in one dropdown.
Opening hours have been simplified to make them easier to use. You can now select your standard weekly opening hours, dates when the store is closed and dates when the store has different trading hours.
When importing your menu from OrderMate POS, you’ll now see a preview of what will be imported before committing to it.
Improved handling of poor mobile connections
Many of our users are on mobile, and sometimes the connection can be unreliable. If the connection drops out during payment, we now attempt to reconnect several times before asking them to contact the restaurant to confirm their order.
